RABBIT BEHAVIOUR PROBLEMS

Rabbits have become increasingly popular pets in recent years and more and more people are keeping house rabbits. As their popularity has grown, so has the incidence of behaviour problems, which include:

• Aggression towards humans
• Aggression towards other rabbits
• Fear of humans and of being handled
• Chewing inappropriate items, such as wallpaper, flexes, wires, furniture etc.

It might seem obvious, but rabbits are completely different from dogs and cats! This means that a proper understanding of the nature and behaviour of rabbits as a species is needed before a rabbit behaviour problem can be addressed. With such knowledge, you and your rabbit can happily co-exist.
